Your Guide to the L.A. Times Food Bowl 2023

It’s that time of year again: summer is sizzling and the seventh annual L.A. Times Food Bowl, presented by City National Bank, returns! The Times has curated a full month of can’t-miss events, celebrating the best of L.A.’s diverse and dynamic culinary scene with the Gold Award, named after iconic food critic Jonathan Gold, plus Times food critic Bill Addison’s Restaurant of the Year, and L.A.’s favorite backlot food festival, Night Market at the legendary Paramount Pictures Studios. We go every year and not only we were incredibly lucky to have met the late, great Mr. Gold, the festival always offers ample opportunities to meet all of your favorite chefs, winemakers, brewers, and occasionally celebrities and perhaps even the Los Angeles mayor. But the best part of the festival is always being surrounded by so many foodies and Los Angeles culinary connoisseurs. The vibe is never off and always on at any given Food Bowl soirée.

It’s a delicious and decadent festival celebrating the city’s diverse food scene, featuring the best of local eateries and world-renowned culinary talent through dining events, special chef collaborations, the weekend-long Night Market festival, and other food-inspired events across Los Angeles. Mix and mingle under the stars at the kick-off bash to this mouthwatering month of food at the Food Bowl Launch Party on the gorgeous Lemon Grove restaurant rooftop with 360-degree views of all of Tinseltown. The launch party will bring the food and beverage industry together for an exclusive night of cocktails and bites with some of L.A.’s best chefs, brought to you by Singapore Airlines. Most events sell out, so read on for all the highlights of our city’s annual celebration of all things culinary and all things Los Angeles and do no wait to buy tickets!
