The Best Events & Things to Do This April in Los Angeles | April 2024

Spring has sprung in Los Angeles and if you, like me, are not going to down to Coachella to see Lana del Rey and No Doubt this April, you may be wondering just what special events and things to do are going on in Los Angeles proper during this spectactular, sunny month. Well, lucky for us all, good times are on the forecast, and we’ve compiled the best events happening all over town. From literary enthusiasts to art aficionados and outdoor enthusiasts alike, there’s something for everyone to revel in. Kicking off the month is The Other Art Fair, a rebellious yet inclusive gathering of independent artists and art lovers at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica from April 4th to 7th. Then, bookworms unite at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books on April 20th and 21st at USC/Exposition Park, where literary giants grace the stages and bookshelves overflow with treasures. Later this month, on April 21st, CicLAvia transforms Venice Blvd into a car-free haven, inviting residents and visitors to explore 5.75 miles of open streets connecting Palms, Mar Vista, and Venice Beach. While these events shine brightly on April’s calendar, there’s a plethora of other happenings awaiting discovery in the City of Angels.
