Lush & Lively Architectural Home with Pool in Los Feliz Oaks | 5538 Green Oak Dr.

The small enclave of Los Feliz Oaks was originally known as Rancho Los Feliz, one of the first land grants in California. Given in 1795 by Spanish Governor Pedro Fages to José Vicente Feliz, one of the first Spanish settlers in California. One notable home is the Los Feliz Adobe, built in 1930 an old adobe house built in the 1830s by heirs of Feliz that still stands in Griffith Park at the Park Ranger’s Headquarters. Today, the neighborhood is a close-knit hillside community known for its many architecturally significant homes and easy access into the park and the Hollywood Sign.

A Mid-Century-style New Build in Silver Lake – 1677 Lucile

Funny, it looks like it could be a mid-century classic from one of our many Los Angeles-based masters of architecture. Yet this three bedroom, three bathroom home was built just this year and though it may share many aspects with a masterpiece by Neutra or Lautner, once you’re inside you’ll find 1677 Lucile has a feel and aesthetic all its own.
