On St. Patrick’s Day in Los Angeles, everybody seems to be Irish. And like our brothers and sisters in Ireland, we begin celebrating the holiday as early as possible. St. Patrick’s Day 5K in Redondo Beach

It’s no jig, but this St. Paddy’s Day tradition in Redondo Beach is a lively way to spend the Irish holiday. The 5K run/walk (8am) is followed by the Little Leprechaun Dash for the Gold (9:30am); both races start near the intersection of Catalina and Elena Avenues. All participants earn a festive T-shirt.
St. Patrick’s Day Party at Tom Bergin’s

An Irish pub mainstay and the best place to grab an Irish coffee in LA. Celebrations start at 6am. The party gets a little more rowdy at 11am, with a parking lot soirée that includes a Guinness truck, beer pong tables, a DJ, picnic table seating and all the beer you can handle.
