I’m thrilled that Jazz at LACMA is returning on April 28th! It’s been a long wait since last season. Jazz at LACMA is one of my favorite Los Angeles events, always taking place in Smidt Welcome Plaza next door to the iconic Urban Light. It’s a great picnic opportunity for gathering with friends on the lawn and sharing food and drinks. There is also the on-site Stark Bar if you’d prefer sit down and be served. And miraculously Jazz at LACMA happens every Friday from April until November! And best of all? It’s free and open to the public. It’s the perfect opportunity to see and celebrate L.A.’s finest jazz musicians.
There are also three new exhibitions that will open at LACMA this month.
Light, Space, Surface: Selections from LACMA’s Collection will open to the public on Sunday, April 2, followed by
Sam Francis and Japan: Emptiness Overflowing on Sunday, April 9, and
Women Defining Women in Contemporary Art of the Middle East and Beyond on Sunday, April 23. Spanning the Middle East, Japan, and beyond, these exhibitions showcase art and stories from around the world.
Hope to see you at LACMA this spring and later this summer!
