Laurel Canyon Storybook Gem by Architect Charles H. Kyson – 8012 Lark Lane

This ultra charming and altogether artistic storybook-style gem was designed by renowned architect Charles H. Kyson. Kyson was a native Angeleno, born in 1883, and was a major influence in the early construction of homes in the Hollywood Hills in the 1920s. This three bedroom home was built in 1924 making it one of the very first homes built in the hillside neighborhood of Laurel Canyon.

This large and light-filled home located in Laurel Canyon’s Lookout Mountain was one of the original homes of the hillside. Built in 1922, this expansive log cabin-esque six bedroom retreat will have you tapping your foot to the music of The Mamas and the Papas, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Joni Mitchell, Jim Morrison, and more. All of whom lived nearby on the mountain the 1960s and 1970s.
