The secret is out! The annual The Secret Art Show is happening this Saturday, November 5 at The Burbank Studios! Hosted by the Burbank Arts for All Foundation, this One Night Only pop-up art gallery event will once again feature hundreds of 4” x 6” original works of art—paintings, drawings, sketches, photos, collages and doodles from artists, celebrities, animators, educators, students, and more!
Just a sampling of some of the artists include works by comedian Conan O’Brien, Veep star Tony Hale, artist Adonna Khare, Caldecott winning children’s book author David Shannon, actress Lea Thompson, actor Joe Mantegna, artists from The Walt Disney Animation Studio and Nickelodean, and many more!
Enjoy a silent auction, music, live art experiences, and a hosted wine and cheese reception in the warehouse lounge. The one night only pop-up art gallery will feature over 600 4” x 6” original works of art—paintings, drawings, sketches, photos, collages, and doodles. All works of art will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis for $40 apiece and will benefit Burbank Arts For All Foundation.
Included here are just a preview of the artworks you will find at The Secret Art Show. You may be asking yourself what’s so secret about it? Here’s how it works: The work is signed on the back – so no one knows the artist’s identity until the artwork is chosen (Shhhhh, that is the secret part!). The discovery of each guest’s “Secret Artist” creates a buzz of excitement throughout the hosted wine and cheese reception. You could possibly be the proud owner of a new masterpiece!
New this year is a growing silent auction with a wide variety of unique items up for bid. Co-Chair of The Secret Art Show, Alexandra Helfrich, explains, “Some of our more collectible and award-winning Secret Artists generously donated larger pieces of work for the expanded Silent Auction this year, along with items from Rhino Records, Acme Archives, The Walt Disney Company and other donors. Some of the many things we love about The Secret Art Show are its contributions to enhancing the cultural community in Burbank, and the excitement of our guests as they build their own art collections with original work from local artists, as well as artists from all over the country.”
All proceeds will benefit Burbank Arts for All Foundation, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to ensure every student in Burbank public schools receives a quality arts education as part of their core curriculum. So it’s a great reason for an evening of art, conversation, wine, and cheese. Hope to see you at the not-so-secret Secret Art Show!
