This Mid-century modern dream home in Palos Verdes could be yours for just $150. The Palos Verdes Art Center’s dream house raffle are offering raffle tickets for a chance to win the Anderson House, a midcentury modern dream home with views of the Pacific Ocean. But maybe you don’t want to live in a oceanfront masterpiece in Palos Verdes? If you win, you can choose between the house or a cool $4 million.
Designed by Aaron Green, a protégé of Frank Lloyd Wright, and built in 1959 for Palos Verdes residents Judge F. and Jeannie Anderson. Just take a look at these stunning ocean views.
The mid-century modern home is situated on the Palos Verdes bluffs and consists of three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The wood and stone residence features a dramatic gabled roof, open-space floor plan, a massive stone fireplace, redwood paneled walls, and excellent Southern California indoor/outdoor living.
The house’s rooflines are sharply angled and cantilevered.
The kitchen opens out onto the living area and has been revamped but maintains the home’s signature design elements.
The bedrooms harmoniously connect to the outdoor spaces.
Jan Novie, president of Aaron G. Green Associates, Inc., said that the home’s cliff site is a “big part of the equation, as is the virtually seamless relationship of indoor to outdoor elements.” The home also boasts that great pool, an enclosed garden, a hot tub and spa, and an attached two car garage.
Last year, the Palos Verdes Art Center’s grand prize was a post-and-beam by Pierre Koenig valued at $3.595 million. So the Anderson House is in good company.
The proceeds from the Palos Verdes Dream House Raffle benefit the Palos Verdes Art Center, which has been a vital asset to the community for many years.
So even if you don’t win you can be confident your money is going to a great cause. And, hey, the odds of winning are much better than the California lottery! Best of luck!
