It’s almost New Year’s Eve in Los Angeles and around the world. You might be furiously trying to find some last minute entertainment to ring in the new year only to find tickets have sold out or open tables are impossible to find. L&E Oyster Bar

Yes, you read that right. No prix fixe menu. Silver Lake’s favorite oyster bar and fine dining restaurant will be having an NYE party and all you have to do is make a dinner reservation as you normally would throughout the year. But, of course, hurry.

Grand Park + The Music Center’s 2018 NYE Celebration 
For the seriously last minute NYE planners there is always Downtown LA’s mainstay celebration. At Grand Park expect thousands of people, music, dancing, art installations, and fireworks. And, yes, it’s all free. But revelers be aware: This will is an alcohol-free, family-friendly event; no beer garden or point of purchase. No alcohol is permitted in the event space.

No Cover New Year’s at Angel City Brewery
Downtown Arts District
By now New Year’s at Angel City feels like a Los Angeles tradition. For their 4th annual bash there will be no cover charge. Doors open at noon and live music will begin at 8 p.m. with food and specialty beers being served all night. Complimentary Bir Royales will be passed out at midnight to toast to the new year. Downtown Taco Co. and Kai Kai Dumplings will take care of the food.

Big Bar Cruise Lines invites you to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Los Angeles with a cocktail every hour on the hour across the time zones of the world. Beginning at 3pm in Europe, Big Bar will countdown every hour with a cocktail and playlist inspired by each port of call until this “ship” lands in Los Angeles at midnight. This is event is admission free, no need for a reservation.

Classic Hollywood Roosevelt New Year’s Eve 2018
And now a pricier option – Ring in 2018 in style at the world famous Roosevelt Hotel. There will be 10 world class DJs, a 5 hour premium open bar, and 5 rooms of music. Yes, tickets range from anywhere $165 per person to $2,900 for a VIP table with bottle service for 10 people. The Hollywood Roosevelt, where the old embraces the new.

Dita Von Teese’s New Year’s Eve Gala
Dita Von Teese’s New Year’s Eve Gala Show at the Theatre at Ace Hotel will bring some serious heat to New Years Eve with some new performances and special guests like Jonny McGovern, Violet Chachki, Dirty Martini and Dita’s high-stepping Vontourage Alek Palinski and Elio Martinez. Tickets range from $49.50 to $225.

Brighter Future NYE Party

A more budget friendly open bar new years will take place at an artistic loft in Culver City, DJs spinning until 3 a.m, local artist showcases, and an interactive photo booth experience. Grab a glass at 11:59 p.m for the champagne countdown. The goal of the night is to fill the world with love, light, and infinite possibility. A portion of ticket sales will benefit My Friend’s Place, an organization whose mission is to assist and inspire homeless youth.

Marina del Rey New Year’s Eve Fireworks & Glow Party

Ring in the new year twice at this family-friendly seaside event! One to celebrate the East Coast at 9 p.m. with a broadcast of the 30-second countdown during the Times Square ball drop followed by a ten-minute fireworks display. Round two will include a countdown and another ten-minute fireworks display. The entire evening will also include live DJs, dancers, a circuit breaker robot, kids activities, food trucks and more.

Black-Tie Bash at Wolf
You bring the Black Tie, Wolf will bring the Black Truffles. Wolf will host a black-tie bash that includes a six course menu (vegetarian options are available.) Guests will be welcomed with bellinis and move onto oysters, white truffle risotto and much more.

Crossroads NYE
If Wolf is too meat-centric for your tastes, plant-based restaurant Crossroads will host a special tasting menu on New Years Eve featuring six courses with champagne and party favors (when the clock strikes midnight.) They’ll also be televising the iconic Time Square ball drop. Crossroads is offering two seating times: an early seating at 6pm and a late seating between 8:30pm and 9:30pm.

Prohibition NYE 
For its 6th year, Prohibition NYE will return to the majestic Ticket Concourse at Union Station with the excitement and glamour of the Roaring Twenties. Experience theatrical burlesque, live jazz ensembles, a headlining DJ Set from GOLDROOM, and a premium open bar featuring champagne and specialty cocktails. Plus a 60 foot ball drop demonstration you won’t want to miss.

New Year’s Eve Ball at The Edison
Usher in the New Year within The Edison’s legendary Cathedral of Industry and Imagination. Experience the past on your journey into the future and celebrate Living History! Ring in the New Year with the electric sounds of Parlor Social, while our aerialists take to the air with their death defying acts of wonder. Feel the excitement walking with giants, while they stilt their way through the night. General admission tickets are $100.


A Rocky New Year’s Eve at Rockwell

Stars from TV, film and Broadway are coming to Rockwell: Table & Stage in L.A. for a special year-end event full of sweet transvestites and hot patooties that’s sure to time warp you back to an infamous late November evening. In A Rocky New Year’s Eve, you’ll enjoy a special New Year’s dinner as Brad, Janet and Dr. Frank N. Furter light up the stage with parody songs from the cult musical and more. The Raymond & 1886 Bar Dance Party
The Raymond and 1886 will host a dance party with cocktails by 1886, food by Chef Tim Guiltinan and music by Heat Maxwell. There will also be a midnight champagne toast, party favors and other entertainment.

New Year’s Rockin’ Eve at Break Room 86
Karaoke, old-school records, Atari video games, plus a secret entrance — ’80s-themed bars don’t get any cooler than L.A.’s Break Room 86, which mixes the right amount of nostalgia, kitsch and fun.
