Yamashiro Farmers Market
Every Wednesday until September 6
Yamashiro Farmers Market is back! Farm-fresh, feel-good food fills the market 5pm – 9pm. Open every Wednesday thereafter, rain or shine, the Markets offer an array of fruits & vegetables, local produce, plus food trucks, wine, fresh baked goods, flowers, plants & gifts. Prom Do-Over at the Museum of Broken Relationships
Thursday, June 1
Do you believe in second chances? The Museum of Broken Relationships and the folks at We Like L.A. are co-hosting a Prom Do-Over that’s going to take you back in time to party like it’s 1999 (and you won’t even need a DeLorean). MOBR’s Prom Do-Over will feature a night of 90’s tunes, throwback high school dance decor, a prom pic photo area, and the ONLY prom in town to include a “10 Things I Hate About My Ex” wall display. Guests are encouraged to contribute to the wall, and the best lists will even earn special swag from the MOBR gift shop at the end of the night. Food truck Mandoline Grill will be stationed just outside the venue to offer delicious bites for purchase while a cash bar inside the MOBR courtyard will provide libations for thirsty guests. Prom tickets are $25 and include access to all MOBR galleries for the duration of the event. Keep in mind tickets can ONLY be purchased online through the link included here.

Lummis Day Festival
Friday, June 2 – Sunday, June 4
Northeast Los Angeles’s amazingly fun and informative premiere festival. Lummis Day celebrates the arts, history and ethnic diversity of Northeast Los Angeles through educational and cultural events and an annual festival that draws the community together for a shared experience while providing a platform for cooperation among people of all ages and backgrounds.

Classic Movies in L.A.’s Grandest Movie Palaces: Last Remaining Seats 2017
The nine films included cover a wide range of classic, foreign, and Oscar winning films, proving that this year’s showings are not to be missed if you’re a film fan in L.A. The proceeds will be put towards maintaining and preserving historical landmarks throughout L.A. So not only is it an excuse to watch some incredible films in some iconic theaters, but it’s also a good cause.

3rd Annual Los Angeles Bread Festival at Grand Central Market

The Los Angeles Bread Festival is back! Get ready to carbo load as Grand Central Market hosts the third annual Los Angeles Bread Festival on June 3rd and 4th. The free, two-day event is a celebration of Southern California’s artisanal bread renaissance and an invitation to the public to experience the many expressions of L.A. bread at its best. The centerpiece of the festival is a pop-up marketplace showcasing local bread bakers, as well as bread-centric workshops and demonstrations. Among the bakers setting up shop at the pop-up marketplace will be Antigua Artisan Bread,  Bub & Grandma’s (Saturday), Friends & Family (Sunday), Challah HubEnsaymada Project,  Los Angeles Bread BakersRed BreadThe SpeakEasy Bakery and The Underground Bakery.   Jam and nut butter purveyors include IndieJamsM. KNOWLEDGES at Mount Wilson Observatory

KNOWLEDGES is an artist-organized curatorial initiative into the expanded field, creating opportunities for artists and the public to experience site through the lens of art. KNOWLEDGES at Mount Wilson Observatory returns June 3 &4, 2017. 
Gaze at celestial wonders through Mount Wilson Observatory’s 100-inch telescope, while live musical accompaniment creates a score for a once in a lifetime experience.

American Horror Story: The Style of Scare’ Exhibit at Paley Center for Media
Friday, June 3 until July @ 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm
FREE admission to the gallery exhibit. Advance ticketing for opening weekend.
In the frightening world of American Horror Story, every twist, turn, terror, and torment is executed in style. Now, you can see how the residents of the Murder House, inmates of the Asylum, witches of the Coven, curiosities of the Freak Show, guests of the Hotel, and victims of Roanoke all dressed to kill. Through costumes, props, and multimedia presentations, the AHS: The Style of Scare retrospective is a look inside the minds of creator Ryan Murphy and costume designer Lou Eyrich. Are you prepared to lose yourself in the wardrobe of American Horror Story?

Urban Air Market in Los Feliz
Saturday, June 4
Last year, Urban Air Market made its Los Angeles debut in DTLA. This summer, the largest outdoor marketplace for sustainable design is coming back to Los Angeles and heading to Los Feliz on June 4th! With over 85 vendors offering everything from clothing, to home goods, to body products, LA shoppers can experience this one-day curated street festival and support local  artisans and designers.

Urban Air Market: Los Feliz is happening on Sunday, June 4th from 11 am to 6 pm at Hillhurst at Franklin, with support from the neighboring shops and restaurants of the Los Feliz Business Improvement District. As always, it is FREE to attend and fun for all ages!

Here’s what else is happening at Urban Air Market: Los Feliz:

90th Anniversary of Paramount Ranch: Free Walking Tour & Presentations
Saturday, June 4
2017 marks the 90th Anniversary of the historic Paramount Movie Ranch. To commemorate this milestone, the National Park Service will host an evening of special presentations. This will include a historic walking tour, an interview with film historian Marc Wanamaker on the era of movie ranches, and a presentation of historic ranch photos. Come early and bring a picnic dinner.

Los Angeles Design Festival

The hyper curated modern design show returns! The LA Design Festival celebrates this city’s rich design culture.  Their definition of design is purposely broad to ensure that the festival is reflective of our city’s diversity and talent. Enjoy a weekend full of design happenings on Market Row, including the LA Design Festival Pop-Up Space, Adobe Creative Jam, New California Craft, INTRO LA, and A+R’s Grand Opening. LA Design Festival hosts Opening Night at City Market South, the fashion district’s newest creative campus. Music by dublab, modern Italian bites by Rossoblu, installation by Assembledge+, floral installation by Krystal Chang Projects, performance by MashUp, and more. We’ll be honoring our ICON and EDGE award recipients al fresco on the piazza.
