Take a closer look at a select and exclusive group of celebrity real estate deals including the sales of Victoria and David Beckham, Kris Jenner, Edward Norton, the listings of Demi Lovato, Shonda Rhimes, A Star is Born screenwriter Eric Roth, The Godfather Horse Head House, and the purchases of Ellen Degeneres and Portia de Rossi. Plus one very special mid-century modern home for sale in Palm Springs.

David and Victoria Beckham Make Bank on Secret Sale in Beverly Hills
Though they need an extra $15 million about as much as an 18-pound house cat needs a nuclear submarine, fantastically rich David and Victoria Beckham none-the-less got hit with the real estate lucky stick and nearly doubled their money on the $33 million, off-market sale of a lavish Beverly Hills, Calif., mansion.

Kris Jenner Picks Up Ultra-Modern Desert Mansion
Word on the Coachella Valley celebrity real estate street is that Kardashian/Jenner family matriarch Kris Jenner shelled out $12 million for an ultra-modern mansion overlooking the lush and unnaturally verdant sixth fairway inside the manned gates of the prestigious Madison Club, a swanky golf development in La Quinta, Calif., that describes itself in marketing materials as “the modern interpretation of California’s classic old-line country clubs.” The sellers were luxury property developer Gala Asher and L.A.-based Coldwell Banker real estate broker Ginger Glass, also the listing agent, who acquired the property in May 2015 for $2.15 million, oversaw the design and construction of the über-modern eye-popper that is not “old-line” anything and set it out for sale in late June of this year (2018) with an aggressive asking price of $15 million.

Singer Demi Lovato tunes down her Hollywood Hills West listing price
Pop star Demi Lovato has reduced the asking price on a Hollywood Hills West home she owns through a trust to $8.995 million. The contemporary came on the market earlier at $9.495 million. A series of ills have befallen Lovato during her two years of ownership. Among them a trespasser broke onto her property, a landslide sent mud onto the driveway and, this summer, she suffered a drug overdose.

‘Blacklist’ Actor Ryan Eggold’s Hollywood Hills Pad Up for Sale
A fixer-upper bungalow owned by actor Ryan Eggold and cleaved to a steep hillside in the Cahuenga Pass area of the Hollywood Hills has come for sale at a sliver less than $800,000. The former “Dirt” actor, whose character was killed off last year at the end of his fifth season on the primetime crime drama “The Blacklist,” purchased the unassuming residence in late 2008 for $525,000. Online resources indicate he made brief attempt to sell the apartment-sized house a couple of years ago for almost $700,000.

Zsa Zsa Gabor’s longtime Bel Air mansion sells for $20.8M
The glitzy Bel Air estate where Hollywood icon Zsa Zsa Gabor lived for four decades sold last week for roughly twice the price it went for in 2017, shortly after the actress’s death. Gabor and her ninth and final husband, Frédéric Prinz von Anhalt, accepted an offer on the house in 2012, but because of an unusual arrangement that allowed the couple to continue living in the home for the rest of Gabor’s life, the sale wasn’t fully completed for another five years.

A Hollywood Regency-style villa in the tony Trousdale Estates area of Beverly Hills, Calif., that was once home to late actress Majorie Lord has been sold for $15 million and unconfirmed word on the Platinum Triangle real estate street is that the new owners are none other than architecture and design savvy house-flipping fanatics Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi.

Former Palm Springs mayor’s stylish residence elects for a list price of $2.4 million
A revamped home that once belonged to former Palm Springs mayor Florian Boyd has come up for sale in the desert city for $2.395 million. Built by architect John Porter Clark in 1940, the contemporary residence dons a much different style than the Spanish hacienda vibe it displayed during Boyd’s ownership. The colorful tile and clay tile roof have disappeared, replaced by an indoor-outdoor floor plan under a tongue-and-groove ceiling.

Inside supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio’s ‘Brazilian boho’ home in Santa Monica
Former Victoria Secret model and fashion model Alessandra Ambrosio has lived in Los Angeles for roughly a decade, but when it came time to settling down in LA and making a home for herself and her two children, she looked west. “I had to be near the beach, someplace where you can feel and smell the ocean breeze,” Ambrosio told Architectural Digest. That place turned out to be Santa Monica, which reminded her of her hometown in Brazil. Ambrosio purchased a 1920s Spanish Colonial Revival in the Westside neighborhood and enlisted noted (and celebrity-beloved) designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard to help her put her stamp on the place.

Sara Gilbert Seeks Tenant for Sunset Strip Contemporary
A sleek, bordering on minimalist contemporary conveniently perched just above a particularly rocking section of L.A.’s Sunset Strip and owned by Sara Gilbert has popped up for rent at $19,500 per month. Gilbert, creator and one of the handful of co-anchors on the mid-morning chat fest “The Talk” and co-star of the original and the short-lived revival of “Roseanne” and, now, it’s Roseanne-less spin-off “The Conners,” purchased the property in 2012 for $3.5 million. Secured behind gates and all but invisible on an elevated lot behind a dense and towering row of foliage, the single-story ranch-style residence dates to the 1950s and measures in at 3,319-square-feet with four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.

Built in the late 1920s but extensively updated and upgraded, the unpretentious, clapboard-sided bungalow sits cheek to jowl with it’s equally unassuming if also forbiddingly expensive neighbors with four bedrooms and four bathrooms in 3,754-square-feet.
