Old Outpost Estates haunt of ‘Dracula’ actor Bela Lugosi comes up for sale
A home once owned by actor Bela Lugosi, known for his early stage and screen portrayals of Count Dracula, has hit the market in the Outpost Estates area of the Hollywood Hills for $3.795 million. Obscured from the street by fences and hedges, the two-story house was built as a model home in 1935 by developer Charles E. Toberman. Lugosi was the home’s first resident and is said to have let his pet panther roam the lush half-acre property. During the mid-1980s and ’90s, the home was owned by Ed Limato, the late Hollywood talent agent whose clients included Mel Gibson, Michelle Pfeiffer and Nicolas Cage. It was during Limato’s ownership that the exterior and landscaping were refreshed with a Mediterranean look and feel.

John Francis Daley Lists Mid-Century Bungalow Above L.A.’s Laurel Canyon
Hollywood hyphenate John Francis Daley listed his mid-century bungalow high above L.A.’s fabled Laurel Canyon at $1.595 million. The former co-star of the crime and forensics procedural series “Bones” and, even more impressively, the screenwriter for the 2011 summer hit “Horrible Bosses” and it’s 2014 sequel not to mention the 2017 blockbuster superhero feature “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” purchased the canyon-side residence just over four years ago for $1.35 million. Listing details, which make no secret the home is “Celebrity owned,” show there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms in 1,629-square-feet.

Adam Levine selling John Mayer his glam Beverly Crest ranch-style house
The Voice coach and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine is under contract to sell his one-story, ranch-style estate in Beverly Crest to a fellow musician—John Mayer. The Los Angeles Times reports that Levine is selling the house for $13.5 million—quite a bit more than the $4.83 million he paid in 2012 to acquire the place. Still, it wasn’t the profit he was hoping for. Levine had listed the property for $17.5 million in 2016. The 7,100-square-foot house in Benedict Canyon has a distinctly midcentury-modern look to it, with exposed beam ceilings, a towering stone fireplace, and floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors throughout. The five-bedrooms, seven-bathroom estate is situated on 3.66 acres and includes a two-story, car-collector’s garage, a tennis court, and a swimming pool.

Adam Levine drops $36M for Beverly Hills mansion
Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine picked up a Tudor-style manse in Beverly Hills for $35.5 million. The new pad is 12,000 square feet with seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a screening room, pool, and guest house, according to Architectural Digest. The previous owner, “Will and Grace” creator Max Mutchnik, remodeled the 1930s estate after buying it in 2008 for $23 million. The home also has a tennis court with some serious sporting history. Tennis legend Pete Sampras owned the property during his reign at the top of the sport from the late 1980s through the 1990s. No word if Levine or his wife, supermodel Behati Prinsloo, are avid tennis players, but they welcomed their second child in February so maybe there’s a tennis prodigy (or two) is in the making.

Former Beverly Hills home of Marion Davies and Tyra Banks seeks $7.7 million
The Beverly Hills home that model and television personality Tyra Banks sold two years ago has come back on the market for $7.695 million. Banks, who owned the Spanish Colonial-style estate for more than a decade, isn’t the only fashionable name associated with the property. The home also counts actress Marion Davies, publisher William Randolph Hearst’s companion, and Atlantic Records co-founder Ahmet Ertegun among its former owners. Set on a quarter-acre of grounds, the 1920s house has been updated while retaining its original good looks. Vintage French doors, clerestory windows and travertine stone and maple floors are among details of note. Artistic tiles add visual interest to the stairways and front courtyard.

Tyra Banks Picks Up Fourth Posh Pad in Pacific Palisades
Perhaps seeking more space to accommodate her growing family, supermodel turned two-time Emmy winning daytime chat show host, reality TV tycoon and cosmetics mogul Tyra Banks shelled out $6.995 million for a multi-story, ocean-view contemporary just above the downtown shopping and dining district in affluent Pacific Palisades, California. Built in 2014 and a jigsaw puzzle-like collection of white stucco volumes broken up by expansive windows and slender balconies, the residence towers three stories above the street with five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms in 6,160 square feet of nearly new and comfortably modern interior space.

Queens of the Stone Age’s Troy Van Leeuwen records a home sale in Glendale
Troy Van Leeuwen of Queens of the Stone Age has sold his home in Glendale for $1.85 million, or $51,000 over the asking price. Built in 1936, the Spanish-style house has been refreshed and maintained while showcasing its Moorish accents, period details and bohemian motifs. Of note is the ornate wood front door, accented in brass ornaments and fixtures, which opens to a grand living room topped with exposed beams and a period tiled fireplace. In the den, which features a wet bar, original pressed sugar-cane ceilings and beehive-style fireplace have been preserved.

Emma Roberts Lands House in Los Feliz
American Horror Story” star and Hollywood scion Emma Roberts — her father is Oscar-nominated Eric Roberts and her aunt Oscar winner Julia Roberts — has shelled out a bit more than $4 million for an updated 1920s Mediterranean tucked into the swanky, gated and celeb-favored Laughlin Park enclave in L.A.’s Los Feliz area. The three-story residence sits amid a lush, tropical garden and measures in at just over 3,800 square feet with three bedrooms and two full and two half bathrooms.

Comedian Marc Maron lists his Highland Park bungalow for $749K
Actor, comedian, and podcast pioneer Marc Maron put his well-known Highland Park home on the market this week with an asking price of $749,000. Built in 1927, the Spanish-style bungalow has two bedrooms and one bath and features hardwood and tile floors, carved archways, casement windows, a decorative fireplace, and a covered porch. While the house itself measures in at a modest 932 square feet, it’s on a sizable lot with multiple decks, patios, and garden areas. But the property’s most notable feature—recently lauded in the pages of the New York Times Sunday magazine—would have to be its garage, where Maron recorded more than 900 episodes of his acclaimed podcast, WTF, and hosted a pantheon of celebrity guests ranging from Mel Brooks to Barack Obama.

Teri Hatcher Lists Los Angeles Home for Short or Long Term Lease
Golden Globe winning former “Desperate Housewives” star Teri Hatcher is looking to rent out her spectacularly private, designer done home in the thickly wooded and affluent Fryman Canyon area of Studio City, Calif., as a fully furnished rental at $25,000 per month long-term or $30,000 per month -. Hatcher, who more recently popped up on the short-lived sitcom “The Odd Couple” as well as the popular “Supergirl” series, has owned the home since late 2000 when she picked it up for $1.49 million. Secluded up a long, gated driveway shared with one other house and completely invisible from the street, there are three well-proportioned bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms in 4,106-square-feet.

Mr. Silver’s credits include the “Lethal Weapon,” “Die Hard” and “Matrix” franchises. According to the listing, the five-bedroom house, with a pool and tennis court, sits on ¾-acre with full frontage on Carbon Beach, an exclusive area where Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison owns multiple properties and where music impresario David Geffen sold a mansion for $85 million last year. Eva Longoria Lists Triple-Story Hollywood Hills Mansion
With a new husband, a bun in the oven and a career in over-drive, busy as a beaver Eva Longoria is asking $3.795 million for her longtime mansion in the historic Hollywood Dell neighborhood that winds through the foothills between Hollywood and the Hollywood Reservoir. Marketing materials, which make no secret that the home is celebrity owned, generously describe the hillside residence as a “Contemporary Mediterranean” with six bedrooms and nine bathrooms in 8,603-square-feet over three floors linked by a circular, wrought iron railed staircase. The former “Desperate Housewives” star, more recently an executive producer on “Devious Maids” and “Telenovela,” the latter on which she also starred, has owned the home since August 2006 when she scooped it up for $3.6 million.

TV personality Gordon Elliot, who currently helms ABC’s cooking talk show “The Chew,” has paid full price and more for an appetizing abode in the Outpost Estates neighborhood of Hollywood Hills. The Spanish-style mansion was on the market for barely a month before the reporter-producer bit at $3.84 million, about $350,000 more than the original asking price, records show. Showcasing an old Hollywood feel, the two-story home was built in 1929 by developer Charles Toberman.

Rose McGowan Sells Over Asking to Filmmaker Ariel Vromen
Earlier this year Rose McGowan announced she planned to sell her home in the Hollywood Hills in order to pay for a legal battle against Harvey Weinstein, whom she’s very publicly claimed raped her in 1997. And, sure enough, the gutsy, hard charging activist-actress listed her glass and concrete 1960s contemporary villa near the top of Nichols Canyon in late January and quickly sold it in mid-March for $1.935 million, a wee bit above its $1.9 million asking price. The former “Charmed” star, who earlier this year released a memoir, “Brave,” in which she recounts the alleged Weinstein assault and its psychological and professional aftermath, and who recently declared herself a non-binary individual who rejects gender constructs, purchased the hillside home in late 2011 for $1.39 million.

Melodramatic mansion in the Hollywood Hills by AF Leicht asking $3.8M
The Laurel View Drive property has had several occupants of note, including dancer/actress Ann Miller, who lived there during the 1940s, and Marlon Brando, who showed off the home and played the bongos for chain-smoking newsman Edward R. Murrow in a 1955 episode of Murrow’s show Person to Person. Sold in 2015 for $3.1 million, the 4,363-square-foot residence is listed with an asking price of $3.795 million. Matthew Perry Makes Off-Market Deal, Sells Sexy Spot Above Sunset Strip
Having failed to entice a buyer when listed on the open market from late June to early October 2017 with a $13.5 million price tag, veteran sitcom superstar Matthew Perry sold his former home in the Bird Streets neighborhood above L.A.’s Sunset Strip late last month in a surreptitious, off-market deal valued at $12.5 million. The syndication rich “Friends” star, who more recently co-starred in the three-season sitcom reboot of “The Odd Couple” and wrote and starred in the play “The End of Longing,” which opened in London and ran off-Broadway in New York City last year, has owned the slick and sexy city-view contemporary since August 2011 when he picked it up for $8.5 million.
