Blue Bottle Coffee opens in Echo Park

Blue Bottle Coffee has arrived to the East side! With locations on Beverly Blvd., the Arts District, and Abbot Kinney, The San Francisco specialty coffee brand has been slowly infilitrating the Los Angeles coffee scene, already crowded with Intelligentsia and Stumptown.

The new Echo Park location, housed in the beautiful, historic Jensen Recreation Center, is sure to become a favorite stop for locals, as premier coffee shops among that strip of Sunset have been bizarrely few and far between.

The design (from Wade Design Architects and Crome) is in line with their other shops around the country, with clean, minimalist lines, white ash accents, and Hiroshima chairs.

Blue Bottle Echo Park also has a more expansive food on menu, offering a much wider selection of all-day toasts and lunch options. For a quick snack, I’d recommend their Gibraltar + Liege Waffle, paired with, of course, a cup of espresso.
